Role Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for coordinating and carrying out all administrative and operational tasks to ensure the smooth and successful operation of the Human Resources department. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are keys to success in this role, along with a passion for making a difference by supporting a company and its people. The Human Resources Manager must be proficient at building internal relationships at all levels of the company and adhere to a high degree of discretion and confidentiality. In addition, they must have very strong administrative skills and be able to work independently in completing their day-to-day responsibilities.
Essential Functions
- Assists management with the full recruitment process from job description creation to job board postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Maintains the HRIS ADP Workforce Now portal and assists employees and managers as needed to complete tasks
- Serves as an internal resource for HR questions and employee support
- Manages the employee benefit program, including health benefits and 401k
- Manages the annual salary and performance review process, including annual salary benchmarking
- Assists management in proactively and confidentially addressing employee relation issues including coaching, counseling and termination
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws in the US and federal laws in Australia
- Responds to state agencies as required related to payroll taxes and unemployment insurance
- Manages Visa and Permanent Resident applications and renewals in conjunction with external legal support
- Coordinates and enhances employee onboarding and offboarding
- Manages bi-monthly payroll
- Develops HR policies and procedures
- Organizes employee background checks through our 3rd-party provider
- Maintains Employee Handbooks and HR-related policies
- Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Requirements
- 10+ years in an HR role
- Start-up professional experience required
- Previous HR experience in Colorado is required, additional states is preferred
- Experience with Australia HR is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred
Expected Hours of Work
This role is considered full-time working approximately 40 hours per week and is exempt from overtime. We are an international company, and you will work with customers and colleagues across time zones and continents. Some meetings will be scheduled during unconventional work hours to meet the needs of our customers or your colleagues and their work day schedules.
