The HR Generalist manages onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and performance evaluations while ensuring compliance with regulations.

The HR Generalist is responsible for new hire on-boarding and training; manages payroll, benefits, and incentive compensation plans; tracks and reviews KPIs with each team member to identify opportunities and implement innovative solutions; develops and oversees Performance Improvement Plans as needed; and performs quarterly performance reviews.
This person serves as a strategic advisor to senior management on HR-related policies and disciplinary procedures, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. They also communicate company initiatives and other critical information to team members, and support team member development and coaching initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee new hire onboarding and training programs.
- Manage employee relations and recommend/implement HR policies while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Organize and maintain employee records and manage compensation and benefits.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to management.
- Conduct weekly or bi-weekly team meetings and quarterly performance reviews.
- Manage payroll and generate ICP reports.
- Develop employee improvement plans and growth/promotion plans as needed.
- Maintain and review skills matrices for all employees.
- Update training programs and documentation, including implementing retraining plans when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years HR experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in HR
- High level of initiative and independence
- Ability to accomplish goals with minimal supervision
- SHRM-CP certification a plus but not required
