CPI Security is looking to hire a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve our team based in Charlotte, North Carolina.  At CPI Security, we help families and businesses protect what matters most through customized security, smart home technology, and award-winning service. Position Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will take ownership of supporting our human resources functions in areas such as onboarding, engagement, reporting, employee relations and development, and performance management (along with typical HR day to day duties). You will be a trusted advisor and consultant as you work closely with cross-functional teams, aligning HR practices with business needs and serve as a key partner in the growth and success of the organization. This role will report to the Chief People Officer and work closely with other business functions to ensure that HR processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with all applicable best practices, laws, and regulations.

Key Details Of The Job:

HR Focused:

  • Manage the incoming business requests through partnership with department leaders, providing timely and interactive responses to questions, needs and facilitate coordination with applicable business partners.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of HR reports, dashboards, and scorecards to support the business in data-driven decision-making.
  • Utilize the HRIS to ensure the accuracy and completeness of HR data, identifying and resolving data issues as they occur with escalation as needed.
  • Understand ever-changing HR regulations and requirements related to employment and HR data, to ensure that employment actions are in compliance, making recommendations as appropriate.

Strategic Partnership:

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual department communications, documentation, and events including but not limited to Monthly Recognitions, leadership meetings, and Open Enrollment.
  • Partner with leaders in driving a culture of employee engagement through event planning, execution, and soliciting feedback.
  • Prepare and present HR analytics in an easy-to-understand manner, helping business leaders see the bottom line impact of decisions and trajectories.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR business partners and other HR functions on data, policy, system and/or reporting needs.

Talent Management & Development:

  • Partner with business leaders to identify goals and pathways to provide assistance tying concrete results to visionary ideas for growth.
  • Identify & suggest creative ways to engage team growth by conducting interactions from a ‘coach’ rather than ‘team captain’ mentality.
  • Serve as SME on employee relations including determination, investigation, and resolution of concerns.
  • Design and facilitate organizational policies and procedures to provide clear, compliant, and effective parameters to business functions.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Demonstrated experience adhering to and championing HR policies and procedures from ideation through fruition.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of providing customer service focused support to the business at any level from new hire through CEO.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously and identifying potential issues/need for escalation.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with experience collecting, compiling, and analyzing HR data.
  • Moderate knowledge of data/visualization tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Working knowledge of Salesforce, Tableau, and/or Sales Rabbit a plus.

Other Experience Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant work experience commiserate with educational background described.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive in human resources related functions such as employee relations, onboarding, recruiting, investigations, reporting, performance management and employee engagement.
  • Experience using HR information systems (HRIS) and data analytics tools, experience with UKG a plus.
