The Human Resources Intern will provide essential support to the HR Operations team, with a primary focus on onboarding, orientation, new hire support, HR data management, data review, and reporting. This role will assist with coordinating onboarding activities, maintaining accurate employee records, reviewing HR data for quality and completeness, preparing reports, and supporting employee communication initiatives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the coordination and delivery of onboarding activities, including pre-boarding tasks, new hire communications, orientation scheduling, and follow-up support.
Assist with preparing and maintaining onboarding materials, orientation resources, new hire checklists, and process documentation to support a consistent employee experience.
Confirm work authorization for new hires upon start, and review work authorization for permanent employees as needed
Provide administrative support to new hires during the onboarding period by tracking completion of required tasks, answering routine process questions, and escalating issues as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems, ensuring data is entered, reviewed, and organized in accordance with internal procedures and confidentiality requirements.
Review HR data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, identifying discrepancies and supporting timely corrections or follow-up with appropriate stakeholders.
Assist with preparing HR reports, dashboards, trackers, and data summaries to support HR Operations decision-making, compliance monitoring, and process improvement.
Support the mentor program by assisting with mentor/mentee coordination, tracking participation, preparing communications, and gathering feedback to improve program effectiveness.
Contribute to the HR newsletter by gathering updates, drafting content, organizing submissions, and helping share timely HR information with employees and managers.
Assist with routine HR Operations tasks, audits, documentation updates, and process improvement initiatives that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and service delivery.
Provide flexible administrative and project support across HR Operations, including employee communications, team coordination, and other HR initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications :
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
