The HR Generalist will provide HR data, reporting, mailbox oversight, process automation, and day-to-day operational support for the HR Business Partner team and broader HR function. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate HR data, developing and distributing recurring reports, triaging and managing HR inbox activity, supporting special projects, preparing materials and PowerPoint decks, and identifying opportunities to streamline manual processes through improved workflows, documentation, and automation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable working with confidential information, HR systems, and cross-functional stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the HR Business Partner team to coordinate HR activities, manage administrative processes, execute day-to-day HR workflows, and support business and employee needs.
  • Provide HR data and analytics support to HRBP leaders, including compiling, validating, and summarizing workforce data to support business decisions.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring HR reports, dashboards, trackers, and ad hoc analyses related to headcount, employee movement, performance processes, engagement, workforce planning, and other HR priorities.
  • Monitor and manage shared HR mailboxes, ensuring inquiries are acknowledged, triaged, routed, tracked, and resolved within expected turnaround times and service levels.
  • Create and maintain mailbox processes, response templates, escalation paths, and tracking mechanisms to improve consistency, accountability, and visibility.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation, workflow improvements, reporting enhancements, and better use of existing HR technology.
  • Partner with HRBPs, HR Operations, HRIS, and Centers of Excellence to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, process documentation, and cross-functional handoffs.
  • Support HR projects, special initiatives, and operational priorities by gathering data, preparing materials and PowerPoint decks, tracking action items, documenting processes, and providing analytical and administrative support.
  • Support employee relations intake by responding to low-level employee concerns, routing matters appropriately, and partnering with managers and HRBPs to draft routine corrective action documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee data, HR inquiries, and reporting requests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR inclusive of HR analytics, reporting, HRIS, shared services, or a related operational support role.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile, validate, interpret, and summarize HR data accurately.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and comfort developing reports, trackers, charts, summaries, and executive-ready data outputs.
  • Experience using HR systems, shared mailboxes, workflow tools, reporting platforms, or automation tools; Workday experience preferred.
  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage high-volume intake channels and time-sensitive reporting requests.
  • Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to partner effectively across HR, HRIS, business leaders, and Centers of Excellence.
