In this role, you will:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with enterprise goals and regulatory frameworks. This includes understanding market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Product Development Leadership: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and user research to design, development, launch, and performance monitoring of digital home lending products and features. Deliver differentiated lending products and digital experiences that meet evolving customer needs. Proven experience leading product teams, defining product backlogs, and developing roadmaps for customer-centric solutions. They should be adept at turning vision into reality and driving innovation.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing global team across product, strategy, technology, and operations. Build and mentor high-performing product and technology teams, potentially involving training existing employees in agile techniques and recruiting new talent with digital capabilities.
- Technology Modernization: Guide the migration of existing data ecosystems to cloud-based platforms and implementing advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities to drive insights and enhance decision-making.
- Operational Transformation: Streamline mortgage processes, reducing manual work, and improving efficiency through automation and digital solutions, ultimately leading to lower origination costs and faster cycle times. Champion agile methodologies and product thinking across teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, empowerment, and rapid iteration.
- Profitability and Financial Acumen: Manage the full product lifecycle with accountability for financial performance, including revenue, cost, and risk.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with technology, compliance, marketing, and servicing teams to ensure seamless execution. Exceptional skills in collaborating with diverse stakeholders across business, technology, and operations to break down silos and ensure alignment and successful execution of digital initiatives.
- Regulatory & Risk Alignment: Ensure compliance with global and regional regulatory requirements and maintain strong governance.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive trends and emerging technologies to inform product strategy.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate product progress, challenges, and priorities to senior leadership and other key stakeholders, while also building strong relationships with business units to ensure joint accountability.
- Digital Transformation Expertise: A strong track record in leading digital/tech transformation initiatives within a large organizational context, specifically within the banking or mortgage industry. This includes accelerating the adoption of digital technologies to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
- Technology Acumen: A robust understanding of modern technology stacks, including cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and the application of AI/ML for advanced analytics, customer segmentation, and personalization
- 8+ years of Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Management experience
- 15+ years of leadership experience in mortgage or home lending, including 5+ years in a global product executive role.
- Proven success in leading large-scale transformation and delivering measurable business results.
- Deep knowledge of mortgage origination, servicing, capital markets, and regulatory environments.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large P&Ls.
- Executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with institutions such as JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, or similar top-tier financial firms is highly desirable.
