We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognize that mental health issues can be complex and multifaceted, and we are dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

We aim to create a world where mental health is no longer stigmatized or marginalized, but rather is embraced as an integral part of one's overall well-being.

We believe that by providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and we strive to be a force for positive change in the field of mental healthcare.

Rula is a remote-first company. We currently hire in most U.S. states, with the exception of Hawaii.

About the Role

We are seeking a Healthcare Partnerships Manager who thrives in ambiguity and draws energy from building the relationships that drive our mission forward. In this role, you are directly responsible for the growth of “sold” providers and the subsequent patient demand and starts within your territory. This is a high-velocity, "boots-on-the-ground" sales position requiring you to be in the field at least 3 days per week. You will own the full sales cycle—utilizing provided lead lists to drive aggressive outbound sourcing, consulting, and closing providers. You will be responsible for all in-person selling and relationship management for accounts within a 2.5-hour radius of your major metro, while maintaining remote selling strategies for assigned accounts outside that immediate geography. Because of the heavy local travel requirements, candidates must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.

With 1 in 5 people experiencing mental health challenges—and fewer than half receiving care—we’re looking for high-performing, outbound-focused sales or BD professionals eager to make an impact. You’ll join a fast-growing team (10x growth last year) at an early stage, with the opportunity to build, learn, and contribute to solving a critical problem.

This role includes a base salary plus uncapped variable pay. Your earnings are directly tied to performance, with unlimited upside and strong potential to exceed target earnings.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience (or equivalent in partnerships/business development) with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets

  • Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline independently and close net-new business through outbound prospecting

  • Proven success in a field-based or territory role with a strong emphasis on in-person selling

  • Strong consultative sales skills, including effective discovery, value-based selling, objection management, and disciplined closing

  • High level of CRM rigor, accurate forecasting, and proficiency with modern sales tools

  • Experience engaging and driving alignment across multiple stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and administrative teams

  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area

  • Willingness and ability to be in the field at least 3 days per week, managing a territory within approximately a 2.5-hour travel radius

Preferred Qualifications

While having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement.

  • 2+ years of experience in a high-growth startup environment

  • Proven success selling into large provider organizations (e.g., multi-site groups, provider networks, enterprise-level accounts), including navigating multiple stakeholders across clinical leadership and operations to drive consensus through activation

  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and build early-stage sales motions and playbooks from the ground up

  • Healthcare or health tech experience, or a strong track record of quickly learning and adapting to clinical workflows

  • Strong “builder” mindset with a track record of creating repeatable assets and processes (e.g., territory plans, persona-based talk tracks, objection handling frameworks, field visit structures, mutual action plans) that measurably improve conversion rates and reduce time-to-activation

We're serious about your well-being! As part of our team, full-time employees receive:

  • 100% remote work environment: Working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, ensuring you can meet both professional and personal commitments (must be based in United States, currently not hiring in Hawaii)

  • Attractive pay and benefits: Full transparency of pay ranges regardless of where you live in the United States

  • Comprehensive health benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA/HSA

  • 401(k) plan access: Start saving for your future

  • Generous time-off policies: Including 2 company-wide shutdown weeks each year for self-care (for most employees)

  • Paid parental leave: Available for all parents, including birthing, non-birthing, adopting, and fostering

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Support for your mental and physical health

  • New hire home office stipend: Set up your workspace for success

  • Quarterly department stipend: Fun team-building activities or in-person gatherings

  • Wellness events and lunch & learns: Explore a variety of engaging topics

  • Community and employee resource groups: Participate in groups that celebrate employee identity and lived experiences, fostering a sense of community and belonging for all

Our team

We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our mission of making mental healthcare work for everyone.  We are dedicated to having a culture of inclusion that will support our employees in feeling safe, seen, heard, and valued.
