Position Purpose:
A pivotal executive role responsible for steering the operational performance of healthcare providers within a designated region. This position demands strategic foresight, exemplary leadership, and meticulous coordination to ensure the delivery of superior patient care, operational excellence, and adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to regional provider operations teams.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive operational plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and assess the performance of healthcare providers within the region.
  • Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead the adoption of best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and manage regional budgets, ensuring financial targets are achieved.
  • Analyze financial performance and implement cost-effective strategies.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to optimize resource allocation.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and spearhead performance enhancements.
  • Address and resolve operational challenges, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with healthcare providers, payers, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Master's Degree in a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of healthcare operations experience required
  • Previous experience managing staff, including hiring, training, managing workload and performance. required
  • Large-scale management experience within environments regulated by state and federal agencies preferred
     

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
