It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!

Fullsteam is a leading provider of vertical software and embedded payments technology dedicated to helping businesses flourish by providing their customers with seamless experiences. With a dynamic and growing team of 1,700 employees, we are committed to driving innovation and delivering best-in-class software and payment solutions that empower small and medium-sized businesses across numerous industries. Our purpose is to help our customers grow their businesses and delight their customers. Join us and be a part of a forward-thinking company that values growth, excellence, and the success of our clients.

Background:

Fullsteam owns and operates over 80 SaaS business units, driving growth with a series of value-added services. In addition to payments technology and other services, Fullsteam has launched insurance as a solution across its portfolio and has several target markets and carriers identified, totaling over $500m in premium opportunity.

In 2023 Fullsteam launched the Building on Great Insurance Agency (“BOG”), an in-house insurance agency licensed for Property & Casualty lines of insurance with licensing pending for Accident & Health lines. New business production is exclusively derived from the Fullsteam portfolio via embedded insurance programs in its SaaS products. BOG is live with a self-storage tenant insurance program and is launching additional programs in General Liability, Travel, Accident & Health, Event Liability and Protection Plans in several industry verticals.

BOG works with the Fullsteam business units to develop sales and marketing strategy and software development teams to embed each insurance program into their Saas product. In turn, the portfolio companies count on BOG to establish relationships with insurance carriers, launch new programs, manage monthly production reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory and carrier requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The head of operations for BOG will manage a team of insurance agency professionals while collaborating with business units and corporate teams at Fullsteam including finance and accounting
  • Develop datasets and analytics with the leaders of portfolio companies to describe the insurance product distribution opportunity
  • Partner with business units and carriers to launch each program and optimize production, and scale revenues after launch
  • Where BOG is not well-suited to offer insurance programs to a portfolio company, this role will partner with third party insurance agencies including retail, wholesale or MGAs
  • Meticulously report on monthly production and partner with Fullsteam finance and accounting teams to ensure revenue allocation and carrier remittance is reconciled
  • Manage all insurance-specific agency compliance including licensing
  • Identify new demand for insurance coverage among the customers of Fullsteam’s portfolio companies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • P&C insurance licensing is a must. A&H licensing would also be valuable
  • 5+ years experience managing operations of an insurance agency with a focus more on back-office functions and carrier management rather than on production management
  • Experience launching new insurance programs
  • Experience with embedded insurance (programs distributed via software) would be very valuable, especially as it relates to UI/UX design to maximize sell-through/attach rates
  • Eagerness to manage high growth of an early-stage agency and to lead the agency from early stage to mature
  • Attention to detail for the purpose of production reporting and compliance
  • Industry-specific experience in self-storage insurance would be valuable but is not required
