CPI Security, a national leader in residential and commercial security solutions, is seeking a Head of Information Technology to serve as the company’s senior-most technology executive. This leader will establish and execute an enterprise-wide technology strategy that supports business growth, operational scalability, customer experience, security, and innovation.

This position will direct all aspects of IT including, but not limited to, the following: Intake and Demand Management, Cybersecurity, Software & Salesforce Engineering, Data Analytics, AI/ML Development, Architecture Governance, Cloud and On-Prem Infrastructures, Networks, Vendor & Budget Management, Helpdesk, Telephony & WFM systems, and Project Management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with the President and Executive Leadership Team to set short and long–term strategic objectives to achieve profits, growth, or other goals of the Company.
  • Build, direct, and execute the company’s IT strategies with a focus on the areas of Cybersecurity, IT Operations, Software Engineering Initiatives and Business Intelligence/Data Analytics.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business model and looks for areas where technology can differentiate customer and employee experiences and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Prioritize departmental work and partners with business leaders to ensure IT resources are assigned the highest value request/projects.
  • Builds a high-trust, accountable technology organization with clear roles, performance expectations, career paths, and leadership development opportunities. Ensures employees have the resources, support, and training needed to succeed.
  • Responsible for the delivery of Business/Technology initiatives and digital transformations. Ensure these are effectively and efficiently planned and executed.
  • Manages departmental budget, capital expenditure and allocation of monthly expenses.
  • Responsible for the technology vendor partnerships including vetting new vendors and systems, reviewing and managing contracts, price negotiations and holding vendors accountable to deliver.
  • Accountable for pragmatic “build vs buy” decisions and ensuring the architecture is scalable, secure, and resilient.
  • Owns and evolves the Technology M&A Playbook, including technical diligence, integration planning, systems rationalization, cybersecurity assessment, data migration, and post-close technology stabilization.
  • Supports CPI’s recurring revenue model by ensuring core platforms, billing systems, customer lifecycle tools, field service capabilities, monitoring systems, and analytics support subscriber growth, retention, expansion, and operational scalability.
  • Leads modernization of core business platforms and integrations to reduce technical debt, improve reliability, increase automation, and enable faster business change.
  • Ensures technology solutions are designed with strong data governance, security, compliance, resiliency, and operational support requirements from the outset.
  • Establishes performance expectations for technology delivery and operations, including system availability, service levels, delivery predictability, cybersecurity, recovery readiness, stakeholder experience, and measurable business outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience operating as a senior technology executive and regularly partnering with the CEO, President, and executive leadership team.
  • 2+ years security industry experience preferred
  • Must have Salesforce and call center technology experience (preferred experience with Salesforce would be Sales, Service, Field Service Lightning, CPQ, Communities, Marketing Cloud and Commerce Cloud)
  • Strong experience in broad technology program/project methodologies, specifically Agile/SCRUM.
  • Experience with mobile technologies, devices, and business intelligence platforms
  • Experience with ERP, Billing and Payroll systems and implementations
  • Experience in M&A, including IT integrations
  • Experience in data governance, Snowflake or similar data cloud solutions preferred
