Your future team
We are looking for a Senior Design Manager, Onboarding to be a key pillar in the Team Work Collection (TWC) Growth Design team. In this role, you will report into the Head of Design, TWC Growth and join an organization consisting of multiple teams across North America and Australia. As a senior Design Leader, you'll lead strategic growth design work all aiming to deliver a better time to value for our customers. You will partner with other Growth designers and multiple design teams across the company. Together, you will create high quality experiences that feel like they came from one set of hands and communicate a strong point of view. Leading this space means you will focus on expanding our over 250,000 customer base in 190 countries, having direct impact for tens of thousands of customers and millions of users!
In this role, you will:
  • Partner with leadership, stakeholders, cross-functional teams to create improvements to Land and Onboarding 'AI First' experiences
  • Communicate design concepts and plans persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate excellence in driving impact through experimentation and data-driven design decision-making
  • Advocate the importance of designing for growth across the business
  • Work with product managers, engineering and other partners to define the wider Growth strategy
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team of design managers and their reports
  • Improve craft quality for all design specializations in your team
  • Collaborate with some of the industry's smartest (and nicest) people. You'll work with fellow Designers as well as Engineers, Product Managers, Content Designers, Researchers, Marketing Experts, and Analysts to advocate for the user experience in our products and ship high-quality work.

Your background:
  • 10+ years of product design experience designing complex or enterprise-level software
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback, fostering a high-performing, balanced, and diverse design team.
  • Experience in end-to-end UX/product design to design impactful solutions to challenging problems
  • Passion for story-telling, the ability to bring design direction to life with compelling narrative
  • Comfort in the level of learning and ambiguity needed to navigate fast-evolving fields like AI
  • Experience balancing customer needs with business goals, market viability, and technical feasibility
  • Facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills: you can demonstrate the ability to integrate the work of multiple teams, solicit and synthesize feedback, and facilitate design discussions that lead company wide outcomes
  • Experience measuring success with qualitative and quantitative methods

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $216,900 - $283,175
Zone B: $195,300 - $254,975
Zone C: $180,900 - $236,175
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
