In this role, you will:
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop, retain, and grow complex relationships with public sector clients by understanding their strategic priorities, funding cycles, and operational challenges.
- Act as a strategic advisor to financial decision-makers within government entities, proactively managing expectations and delivering insights that support long-term partnership.
- Advise senior leadership on structuring, modifying, and renewing complex credit facilities- tailored to the unique needs of government clients.
- Analyze financial statements, budget documents, and funding sources to support credit decisions and present solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the delivery of highly customized banking solutions across treasury management, capital markets and bank credit.
- Collaborate with product teams to design and implement solutions that align with public sector mandates, compliance requirements, and long-term capital planning.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic direction to senior leadership on cross-functional initiatives that enhance public sector banking capabilities.
- Influence enterprise-wide strategies to better serve government clients, including digital transformation, grant management, and intergovernmental partnerships.
- Engage across the enterprise to improve processes, enhance risk controls, and resolve complex client issues while maintaining compliance with municipal rules and procurement ethics.
- Drive relationship planning and maintain disciplined pipeline management through CRM systems and strategic account reviews.
- Support business development efforts by leveraging existing networks and cultivating new relationships with government entities.
- Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to inform the design and delivery of credit solutions that meet the evolving needs of public sector clients.
- Advocate for innovation in public finance products, including tax-exempt lending, sustainability-linked loans, and federal/state funding integration.
- 4+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Demonstrated ability to build long term relationships with government clients and extensive experience with the RFP process
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services, such as commercial lending and treasury management with focus on the public sector
- Experience developing and maintaining external partnerships with Financial Advisors and key stakeholders
- Completion of formal credit training program
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to deliver the organization to clients and prospects
- Demonstrated experience generating new client relationships, building and retaining long-term client relationships
- Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- This position offers a hybrid work schedule
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
