The Global Supply Leader role offers a unique opportunity to help build a best‑in‑class global healthcare supply chain, with direct ownership for supply planning and inventory availability across the network. This leader will be responsible for ensuring the right inventory is positioned in distribution centers to meet customer demand while achieving working capital and inventory turns targets.

As part of Beckman Coulter’s Global Supply Chain transformation, this role will shape and mature end‑to‑end supply planning processes, grow the capability of a global planning team, and advance how planning work is done through data‑driven and AI‑enabled tools. The Global Supply Leader will partner closely with manufacturing, demand planning, and commercial teams to improve service, stability, and predictability—ultimately ensuring clinicians and patients receive the products they need, when they need them.

This position reports to the Vice President – Global Supply Chain and is fully remote (USA).

  • Own end‑to‑end supply plans for assigned product lines, regions, or networks, from factory output through distribution and customer fulfillment.

  • Convert approved demand plans into executable supply plans, balancing supply, inventory, capacity, and service requirements.

  • Maintain ownership of finished goods and service inventory positioning, including safety stock strategy and deployment across the network.

  • Proactively identify and manage supply risks, shortages, and imbalances, with clear recovery plans and timelines.

Service, Inventory & Risk Management

  • Deliver best‑in‑class OTD performance through disciplined supply planning and exception management.

  • Optimize inventory levels to support customer demand while minimizing excess, obsolescence, and cost.

  • Lead scenario planning to evaluate trade‑offs between service, inventory, capacity, and cost during disruptions or demand shifts.

Operating Cadence & Execution

  • Run a robust supply planning operating cadence (daily / weekly / monthly) focused on:

    • Shortage management and near‑term execution

    • Supply vs. demand gaps and recovery actions

    • Inventory health, mix, and risk

  • Track and improve key metrics such as OTD, inventory turns, supply plan adherence, and recovery effectiveness.

  • Drive structured root‑cause analysis and corrective actions when plans miss.

Cross‑Functional & Network Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Demand Planning, and Distribution to align supply plans with constraints and priorities.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for supply risks, providing leadership with clear options, impacts, and recommendations.

  • Collaborate on cross‑functional improvement initiatives to strengthen supply resilience and responsiveness.

Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead and develop a global team of supply planners and managers, setting clear standards for ownership, execution, and problem‑solving.

  • Establish and reinforce standard work, planning governance, and role clarity across the supply planning organization.

  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, data quality, and system usage.

Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Planning Systems and Analytics teams to advance digital supply planning capabilities, automation, and scenario modeling.

  • Simplify planning processes, eliminate manual workarounds, and improve plan reliability and speed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field, with significant progressive leadership experience in supply planning, production planning, or integrated supply chain operations; or a master’s degree with extensive related experience.

  • Demonstrated experience leading global supply planning processes, including capacity planning, inventory positioning, constraint management, and alignment to demand and commercial priorities.

  • Proven track record translating data and planning outputs into clear decisions and actions that improve service, cost, and working capital performance.

  • Experience governing planning‑related master data and ensuring data quality, process discipline, and cross‑functional adherence to standard work.

  • Strong experience working with ERP and planning systems (Oracle preferred), including driving process standardization across regions and manufacturing sites.

  • Strong leadership capability with demonstrated ability to build, coach, and develop high‑performing supply planning teams.

  • Advanced analytical, systems thinking, and structured problem‑solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading supply planning in a global manufacturing and/or regulated environment.

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders across Operations, Commercial, Finance, and Quality to drive integrated business planning outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to present complex supply scenarios, trade‑offs, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership with clarity and confidence.

  • Experience leading or playing a key role in major system or process transformations (Oracle, SAP, or advanced planning tools).

  • Familiarity with DBS / Lean principles and driving continuous improvement within planning processes.

Travel Requirements
