Job Description:

Global Industry Leader – Datacenters positions offered by Hitachi Energy USA Inc. (Raleigh, North Carolina). As a global datacenter engineering specialist, identify market opportunities and drive innovative solutions globally utilizing engineering acumen. Ensure the execution of market and account plans from a technical, engineering perspective for profitable growth. From a technical sales engineering perspective, identify key Must Win Opportunities within the datacenter segment. Analyze opportunities, identify technical capabilities and communicate datacenter market trends for datacenters based upon sales engineering perspective. Set order and gross margin percentage targets for the sales leadership team globally. Ensure alignment between internal teams and external partners. Utilize reporting tools to measure progress and identify opportunities. Participate in annual market validation and target setting processes. Coach regional teams and support the development of product specialists. Be a subject matter expert, coaching regional teams and supporting the development of product specialists and R&D roadmap.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in engineering or a related field and 10 years of experience working with power or distribution systems.

• In lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 10 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 8 years of experience as stated.

• Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Performing marketing, sales, business development or account management in datacenter and energy solutions
  • Working with transformers technologies, including high, medium and low-voltage applications, and their integration into power distribution networks
  • Working with business models, including Hyperscale, Colocation, and Edge; and
  • Developing and executing strategic marketing and sales plans, with a focus on profitability and sustainable growth. 

• Must have 1 year of experience:

  • Using the following data analysis and reporting tools to drive decision-making and measure performance:
  • Microsoft Suite (Excel)
  • KPI Dashboard, Balance Scorecards, tracking progress with the Bowler and A3, Performance Analysis with Salesforce, SAP, and Power BI Analytics; and
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys Technique, Pareto Analysis, SWOT Analysis, A3 problem solving, Benchmarking, Continuous Feedback tools, and Microsoft Forms.
  • Working in a leadership or strategic role; and
  • Working with regional and global market dynamics and customer requirements.

• Employee reports to Raleigh, NC, but may telecommute from any location in the U.S.
• Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally 50%.

 • Experience may, but need not, be acquired concurrently.
