Job Description

Product Owner – FX and Rates Risk Hedging Product Owner is responsible for driving delivery of enhanced FX hedging and IR valuation solutions to Marco Trading via Calypso and WSS systems. This role partners with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology to translate business and regulatory needs into prioritized, executable work while ensuring platform stability and compliance. This function is accountable to drive operational platform management across products and their related ecosystems. Operates in an agile operating model delivering agility at scale, innovation, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Partners closely with customers (internal and external), the business line(s) and Agile teams to drive the evolution of the assigned product(s) with little to no coaching from leadership. Maintains and refines product backlog. Creates user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritizes all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy. Acts as primary liaison between the business and Agile teams, ensuring the teams understand vision for the products. Works closely in a hands-on style with development team including addressing daily prioritization needs, providing real-time feedback and answering questions on an ongoing basis with limited coaching from leadership. Independently, works with Product Management to set release dates, determine when sufficient value has been delivered to release to market, understand tradeoffs between schedule, scope and budget and communicates this information to the organization. Employs product management practices and tactics including customer research, data and analytics, and market research.

This role requires working from our U.S. Bank location in Charlotte, NC three (3) or more days per week.

Responsibilities and Preferred Skills:

  • Own and manage the product backlog for Senior Product Manager for FX hedging, translating complex business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria. Prioritize work based on business value, regulatory deadlines, risk impact, and delivery capacity to ensure timely and controlled outcomes.

  • Act as the proactive liaison between business stakeholders and Agile delivery teams. Drive alignment on scope, sequencing, dependencies, and delivery risks while supporting sprint execution, release planning, and production readiness.

  • Leverage Calypso/WSS system and Capital Markets knowledge to meet business and regulatory requirements. Assess vendor functionality, configuration options, and upgrade impacts, and drive resolution of gaps between business needs and platform capabilities.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, preferably within Capital Markets or Risk Technology. Proven ability to deliver vendor‑based solutions supporting markets, risk, or regulatory initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of FX and Interest Rates products, particularly FX Forwards, FX Options, Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency swaps, FRAs, Futures, etc. Working knowledge of XVA concepts including CVA and DVA with appropriate stakeholders. Familiarity with Front Office, Risk, and Finance workflows and how they intersect across trading, valuation, and reporting.

  • Ability to manage backlogs, define high‑quality requirements, and make prioritization decisions in complex environments. Comfortable balancing delivery speed with risk management, control requirements, and platform stability.

  • Clear and structured communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence across functions. Effective in facilitating discussions and driving alignment in cross‑functional teams.

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, high‑visibility, and deadline‑driven environments, including regulatory milestones and production support scenarios.

  • Prior hands‑on experience with Calypso and/or Wallstreet, experience in regulated financial institutions, and familiarity with Agile delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Basic Qualifications

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
