The Front-Line Enterprise Programs Office (EPO) within CAO Technology is seeking a Lead Full‑Stack Java Engineer to help in supporting the buildout of modern Technology solutions that enable critical Enterprise initiatives related to Global Privacy and Conflicts of Interest Monitoring. While both building new and supporting existing Technology Applications, you'll help Lead and Mentor teams developing scalable backend services using Java/Spring Boot while also creating intuitive UI experiences in modern UI frameworks like Angular or React. This role involves building new capabilities for workflow & alerting, integrating with upstream systems, and contributing to a modernized Privacy and Enterprise Programs Office Technology ecosystem that drives improved automation, compliance, and real‑time visibility across Wells Fargo for these key Horizontal functions.

In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Java/SpringBoot
- Experience in Angular and/or React
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server or MongoDB
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Job Expectations:
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule - ability to work in office
