The Technology Department at Dimensional leverages the rapidly evolving state of the art to engineer the platforms that power innovative, research-driven financial and technical products to improve our client’s financial lives.  As a member of the Investments Technology team, you will work on developing solutions that support the global Investments organization.

What you might work on:

You will work within the Investments team and assist us in empowering our users with a rich feature set, high availability, excellent system performance and a great customer experience. Candidates must have a willingness to learn new technologies. This role demands the ability to work closely with all those responsible for the health of the services and customer experience including the Development, QA and Operations teams. Responsibilities include

• Build or implement technologies to meet business needs utilizing industry standard tools and best practices.
• Design, develop and maintain unit, integration and performance tests
• Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits.
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
• Assist in the development of user stories, estimates, and work plans.
• Advise business clients and IT management of technology capabilities and recommend strategies to maximize the benefits of new technologies.
• Drive the improvement of operational efficiency through automation and systemization.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or related field or 3+ years of related job experience in lieu of degree.
• Programming experience with proficiency in C#, TDD, web development and automated testing.
• Experience using JavaScript
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines, build tools, configuration management frameworks such as Team city, Cake, Octopus etc.
• Excellent process analysis, troubleshooting and data analysis skills.
• Ability to write tested, maintainable code.
• Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Driven to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python
• Experience with centralized logging and monitoring technologies i.e. ELK stack
• Experience with cloud e.g. AWS, Azure, Google
• Experience with event driven architecture
• Experience with UI Development frameworks and common libraries such as Angular, React or Vue
• Knowledge of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories.
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design
• Knowledge of SOLID coding principles
