Conduct stakeholder discovery across technical and business teams to identify, quantify, and document the value of enterprise Salesforce solutions. Create ROI analyses, executive-ready value reports, presentations, and customer success materials. Partner with sales, customer success, solutions consulting, and marketing teams to support renewals, expansions, executive reviews, and strategic opportunities while recommending additional ways customers can improve Salesforce governance, security, compliance, resilience, and productivity.
We are looking for a fractional, client-facing Business Value Consultant to help customers and prospects understand and document the measurable value created by enterprise Salesforce solutions.
This consultant will conduct thoughtful discovery with business and technical stakeholders, identify operational and strategic outcomes, and turn those findings into clear, executive-ready value reports. The role covers Salesforce operations broadly, including data protection, security, audit readiness, compliance, release processes, governance, and overall platform reliability—not solely DevOps.
What You’ll Do- Interview customer stakeholders across IT, Salesforce, security, compliance, operations, and business leadership.
- Understand the customer’s initial challenges, current workflows, risks, and business priorities.
- Identify and quantify outcomes such as time savings, reduced operational effort, lower risk, stronger compliance readiness, improved data resilience, faster recovery, better governance, and increased Salesforce-team productivity.
- Translate technical capabilities and customer usage into credible business-value stories.
- Create concise customer value reports, ROI summaries, executive presentations, and inputs for customer success stories.
- Partner with customer success, sales, solutions consulting, and marketing teams to support renewals, expansions, executive business reviews, and strategic sales opportunities.
- Recommend additional opportunities for customers to realize more value from their Salesforce environment.
RequirementsWhat We’re Looking For
- Experience in value consulting, management consulting, customer success, enterprise SaaS consulting, or business transformation.
- Strong familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem and how Salesforce teams operate.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce data backup and recovery, security, audit trails, compliance, governance, and release/change-management practices.
- Ability to speak credibly with both technical practitioners and executive stakeholders.
- Experience building ROI analyses, value assessments, business cases, customer success stories, or executive reports.
- Excellent discovery, interviewing, analysis, writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong judgment: you distinguish verified customer outcomes from assumptions and document methodology clearly.
- Availability for flexible, project-based customer engagements across North American time zones.
