About the Role:

We are seeking an Forward Deployed Engineer - Deployment Strategist, a pivotal hybrid role, leveraging technical expertise and strategic problem-solving to deploy AI-powered solutions on Salesforce, focusing on business impact and adoption. This trusted advisor role bridges customer needs with product innovation for long-term success and value realization. The Deployment Strategist will lead a peer group of FDEs, overseeing deployments, fostering collaboration, setting goals, and addressing challenges. They will also connect customer needs with product development, offering field insights to influence enhancements and accelerate the product roadmap, ensuring the Agentforce platform remains at the forefront of AI solutions. A successful Forward Deployed Engineer - Deployment Strategist will deeply understand our customers' most complex problems, crafting and deploying innovative, impactful solutions that leverage our Agentforce platform and beyond.
 

Your Impact:

  • Strategic Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the analysis, design, and hands-on solutioning of intelligent AI-powered agents within Salesforce environments, leveraging Agentforce, Data Cloud, Flow, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, and Salesforce APIs. Synthesize complex business challenges into clear, actionable technical requirements and strategic deployment plans.

  • AI & Data Mastery for Impact: Own the end-to-end data landscape, designing robust data models, building efficient processing pipelines, and establishing seamless integration strategies. Apply advanced AI orchestration frameworks, LLM integration, and prompt engineering techniques to build sophisticated, production-ready conversational AI solutions that optimize data for AI applications.

  • Full-Lifecycle Deployment & Optimization: Oversee the successful deployment of solutions, ensuring flawless integration with existing customer infrastructure. Continuously monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for long-term reliability, scalability, and security, including building guardrails to govern agent behavior.

  • Entrepreneurial Execution & Rapid Prototyping: Operate with a "get-things-done" mindset, focusing on rapid prototyping, iterative development, and quick delivery of impactful solutions. Thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments, adapting swiftly to evolving customer priorities and technical challenges.

  • Trusted Technical & Strategic Partner: Embed deeply with client teams (from analysts to C-suite executives) to truly grasp their operational challenges and strategic goals. Act as a primary technical advisor, providing expert guidance and presenting results and proposals that drive measurable value and adoption.

  • Product Evolution & Feedback Loop: Serve as a vital feedback loop between customers and internal product/engineering teams. Field observations will directly influence future product enhancements, help shape the strategic direction of our platform, and contribute to broader scalable product improvements.

  • Business Process Transformation: Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and enhancement through intelligent agents, guiding customers through process transformation and reengineering.

  • Team Leadership in Deployment Execution: Lead a group of peers in the execution of deployment initiatives, providing technical guidance, fostering collaboration, and ensuring successful project delivery against strategic objectives.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on solutioning experience, including design, implementation, and testing of cloud-based technologies and architecture principles, with a proven track record of end-to-end delivery of high-quality, scalable production solutions

  • Understanding of the Salesforce platform and ecosystem, including Flow, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs

  • Hands-on experience building solutions with AI/LLM technologies

  • Experience in data modeling, processing, integration, and analytics, with proficiency in data platforms (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks)

  • Exceptional ability to confront open-ended problems in unstructured, ambiguous environments, demonstrating a curious, analytical, and solution-oriented approach

  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, a "get-things-done" attitude, and a relentless focus on fast delivery and measurable customer impact

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and C-suite executives, and translate business needs into technical requirements

  • Proven team leadership experience

  • Prior customer-facing experience in a technical, implementation, or consulting role, acting as a trusted technical advisor

  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time, as needed to customer sites
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and/or Agentforce platform

  • Experience developing conversational AI solutions within regulated industries or highly sensitive environments (e.g., healthcare, finance)

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Java, Python, Apex)

  • Salesforce platform certifications (e.g., Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Architect, Data Cloud Consultant, Agentforce Specialist)

  • Knowledgeable across Salesforce CRM (Service, Sales, and Marketing Clouds)

  • Experience with AI/ML concepts beyond LLMs, such as natural language processing

  • Bonus points for experience deploying solutions in customer environments (e.g., custom scripts, middlewares, internal APIs)

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $334,600.For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $306,600.

For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $306,600.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $200,800 to $334,600.

For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $306,600.

For Massachusetts based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $306,600.
