The Forbes Vetted intern will have the opportunity to contribute to our growing commerce editorial features and special projects, including the Forbes Vetted Best Product Awards. Interns will be embedded in the Forbes Vetted Features And Special Projects team and contribute to daily ideation and work therein. You’ll have strong mentorship and support from our editorial team, and you’ll come away with a better sense of the practice and craft of commerce writing and how it functions in a real-world setting.

This role can be fully remote, in-person based out of Jersey City, NJ, or on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning and production for upcoming Forbes Vetted special projects, including the Forbes Vetted Best Product Awards, and other themed editorial packages.
  • Brainstorm, contribute to and produce commerce features, columns, product reviews and gift guides.
  • Assist with press requests and sample management for product testing and photo shoots.  
  • Create and request graphics for Forbes Vetted features and commerce stories.
  • Help track content performance for features and optimize/update content when needed.
  • Collaborate with the editorial, design, audience development and product teams every day.
  • Be supported by the editorial team who will help you learn and grow as an individual and a professional.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a passion for journalism and storytelling.
  • Possesses a go-getter attitude, the drive to learn how a busy edit team functions and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Is already familiar with or eager to learn about SEO and commerce writing best practices.
  • An aptitude for writing and editing lifestyle commerce content.
  • Has excellent organization and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Has a meticulous eye for detail and an appropriate taste level to curate content for the Forbes audience.
  • Has strong communication skills to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Must be a student as of June 2025, with an expected graduation date on or before June 30, 2026.

About Our Summer Intern Program

  • Our internships are paid.
  • This internship is approximately 40 hours/week Monday-Friday.
  • Internships begin mid-June and end mid-August.
  • Interns are invited to weekly presentations to hear from leaders within the organization.

The hourly rate for this role is $21.00 - $21.00
