Job Description

We are currently looking for a Financial Business Intelligence Developer to join our growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for building reporting that provides financial information to stakeholders across Brightspeed. You will be a part of the Finance department and will report directly to the Manager, Financial Business Intelligence.

As a Financial Business Intelligence Developer, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Extract data from Big Query, build and maintain reports in Power BI, and support financial systems through migration and testing requirements
  • Responsible for understanding business needs and problems, and partnering with stakeholders to provide reporting that can drive more informed decision-making
  • Source and structure data for reporting, compiling user requirements, building reports in Power BI, and maintaining documentation on dashboards
  • Data analysis including evaluating different data tables and compiling the data in a manner that is consistent with expected reporting outcomes
  • Responsible for ensuring that data is accurate, ties to reported results, and that any issues are escalated to appropriate stakeholders
  • Additional responsibilities in support of financial systems are required for various projects such as data warehouse migrations, QA testing, and data integrity assurance initiatives

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in software development, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of work experience in finance and / or coding are required
  • Love data and reporting, have high attention to detail, and demonstrate strong analytical and report development skills
  • Ability to write and understand SQL queries, and familiarity with using Big Query to source data
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Big Query, and experience with financial systems is required

BONUS PONTS FOR:

  • Experience with SAP or additional programming languages
