The Financial Advisor, Senior Associate is responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering comprehensive financial advice and portfolio management guidance. This role partners closely with internal teams to understand client needs, develop tailored investment solutions, and support long‑term wealth‑building strategies aligned with Vanguard’s investment philosophy.
Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with clients by understanding their financial goals, priorities, and overall financial situation.
  • Identify client needs and collaborate with internal partners to develop and deliver appropriate investment and planning solutions.
  • Partner with sales executives and other stakeholders to support business development initiatives and the overall sales process.
  • Analyze client risk tolerance and provide guidance on asset allocation, savings strategies, and spending approaches aligned to client objectives.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and prepare clear, client‑focused reports addressing performance, strategy, and ongoing advisory needs.
  • Implement wealth‑building and investment strategies consistent with Vanguard’s investment philosophy and established guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client records while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, Vanguard methodologies, and investment policies.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Vanguard funds, products, and services in order to educate and guide clients effectively.
  • Stay informed on financial planning concepts, capital markets, and broader financial services industry trends.
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to process improvements that enhance the client experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of team and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in client relationship management, customer service, or a related role; experience within the financial services industry preferred.
  • Progress toward completion of the CFP® certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and professionally.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • This position requires applicable regulatory licenses and/or registrations (e.g., FINRA, state, SFC), as determined by Compliance based on role‑specific duties.
