Job Description:

At Regions, the Software Engineer Manager oversees application development for a department or group within the company.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within areas of responsibility
  • Develops technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for areas of responsibility
  • Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all interfaces
  • Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes
  • Partners across Technology, Operations, Digital, and Data (TODD) to ensure controls are designed, implemented, and monitored to strengthen risk management, compliance, and cyber security, effectively mitigating risk to levels within the company’s risk appetite
  • Ensures disciplined change management by evaluating risk and control impacts when designing or implementing changes to processes, systems, products, and/or services

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Six (6) years of relevant experience
  • Experience as a team leader

Preferences

  • Experience in a Technology role in banking or a financial services industry

Position Summary for this specific opportunity

The Integration Manager, Finance Transformation is responsible for coordinating and integrating cross-functional workstreams to ensure the successful delivery of finance transformation initiatives. This role serves as the central point of alignment between Finance, Information Technology, Operations, Human Resources, and external partners, driving execution of strategic programs that improve financial processes, systems, controls, reporting, and organizational effectiveness.

The Integration Manager ensures project activities remain aligned with business objectives, manages dependencies across multiple workstreams, facilitates decision-making, mitigates risks, and supports change management efforts. This position plays a critical role in delivering sustainable business outcomes during large-scale finance transformation programs.


Key Responsibilities

Program Integration & Governance

  • Coordinate and integrate activities across all finance transformation workstreams, including process, technology, data, reporting, controls, and organizational change.
  • Establish and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, and executive status reviews.
  • Track program progress and escalate risks, issues, and decisions requiring leadership attention.
  • Ensure alignment between project objectives and organizational strategic goals.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Finance leadership, business stakeholders, IT teams, implementation partners, and other functional groups.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders to drive alignment and accountability.
  • Communicate program status, decisions, risks, and achievements to executive stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and decision-making sessions.

Transformation Delivery

  • Support implementation of finance operating model changes, process improvements, and technology solutions.
  • Coordinate activities related to ERP implementations, financial system enhancements, data governance initiatives, and reporting transformations.
  • Ensure deliverables across workstreams are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Monitor transformation benefits realization and performance metrics.

Change Management & Adoption

  • Partner with organizational change management teams to drive user readiness and adoption.
  • Support communication strategies, training plans, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Identify organizational impacts and develop mitigation plans to address resistance to change.
  • Promote continuous improvement and transformation objectives throughout the organization.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Maintain program risk and issue logs.
  • Identify cross-functional dependencies and potential delivery impacts.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, governance requirements, and audit standards.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Track program budgets, resource allocations, and vendor activities.
  • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Support business case development and benefits tracking.
  • Assist leadership in prioritizing initiatives and allocating resources effectively.

Certification Preferences

  • MBA, CPA, PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred.

Experience Preferences


  • 7+ years of experience in finance, program management, transformation, consulting, or related disciplines.
  • Experience managing large-scale finance transformation programs.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving Finance and Technology organizations.
  • Knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and organizational change management.

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week.  The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.  Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.  This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Median:

$171,650.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
