Interact with customers by phone and email to provide information regarding Expedited services and shipments.  Always provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Assist less experienced employees with customer issues and help drive team performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls and emails regarding Expedited services in a timely manner
  • Daily monitoring of Expedited shipments to ensure they meet promised delivery dates
  • Quote and book expedited shipments in a timely manner
  • Edit existing orders with Expedited upgrades
  • Provide accurate information regarding expedited shipments to both internal and external customers
  • Provide Service 2.OD to all internal and external customers
  • Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by going the extra mile

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • 5 years customer service experience in a transportation company
  • Understanding of the trucking and tariffs
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening skills
  • Ability to deal with different types of personalities and effectively handle high-stress situations in a calm manner
  • Ability to negotiate and secure shipments based on set guidelines
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Office programs, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word

Afternoon
