As Capital Group continues to invest in enterprise-scale capabilities, we are building leadership roles that define how critical functions operate, scale, and deliver long-term value.  The Enterprise Sourcing Office (ESO) is a key part of this evolution, expanding from traditional sourcing execution to a strategic enterprise capability focused on Enterprise Value enabling strategic business outcomes (cost, innovation, quality, resilience, efficiency).

As the Enterprise Sourcing Operational Excellence Director, you will lead a critical capability responsible for defining and operationalizing the firm’s end-to-end operational procurement operating model.  You will shape how sourcing, procurement, vendor management, and governance come together to deliver enterprise-wide outcomes and evolve a scalable, forward-looking procurement operating model. 

You will define procurement strategy execution frameworks, design and embed scalable processes and systems that enable visibility, efficiency, and control across external spend.  This includes leadership of intake and orchestration, procure-to-pay, contract management, 3rd party data & analytics, practice and capability enablement, and governance practices across ESO.  You will own and drive the operational Enterprise Source-to-Pay transformation, defining the roadmap, priorities, and sequencing to build scalable, best-in-class procurement capabilities and position ESO for continued evolution and growth, in partnership with Finance, Legal, InfoSec, Risk Management, and Global Technology teams.

You will lead a large, global, multi-layered organization, including leaders of leaders and Procurement outsourcing partners, with accountability for operational performance, capability building, and execution consistency.  You will oversee organizational design, resource strategy, and performance management to ensure ESO can scale effectively and meet evolving business needs.

You will play a central role in advancing ESO’s transformation, shaping and driving large-scale initiatives that build world-class third-party management capabilities, improve resilience, and enhance quality, speed, and innovation.  You will engage senior leaders to align priorities, influence decisions, and shape how sourcing and procurement capabilities evolve across the enterprise.

  • You bring deep experience leading large-scale procurement or business operations organizations, with the ability to shape strategy, anticipate future business needs, and drive execution across complex environments to sourcing and procurement capabilities to meet changing enterprise demands.

  • You have led enterprise transformation efforts, including large-scale system implementations, process redesign, and capability development across complex, geographically dispersed organizations.

  • You are highly effective at influencing across senior stakeholders, building alignment, and driving adoption of new operating models and ways of working.

  • You are a strong people leader with experience leading leaders, building organizational capability, and developing talent pipelines.

  • You have 15+ years of experience in procurement operations, sourcing, or enterprise business operations within large, complex organizations.

  • You have experience defining and implementing procurement strategies, operating models, and governance frameworks.

  • You have a deep understanding of procure-to-pay, contract management, vendor management, and 3rd party risk management practices.

  • You have experience identifying, selecting and implementing procurement technologies that improve visibility and operational efficiency.

  • You have experience with building high performing cross-functional Product Teams including Product Management and Product Delivery capabilities.

  • You have demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation and driving enterprise adoption at a global company.

  • You have strong executive communication and influence, with the ability to align senior stakeholders.

  • You have experience building long-term organizational capability, including leadership development and succession planning.

Charlotte Base Salary Range: $210,393-$357,668

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
