Key Engineering Roles and Areas of Expertise
  • Software Engineer: Create and implement clean, scalable code; troubleshoot and debug problems; ensure software quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to standards and best practices.

  • Data Scientist: Deep research, developing Proof of Concepts and AI/ML prototyping; production deployment, develop the model and implement into our deployment processes.

  • Data Engineer: Build and maintain the infrastructure that makes data accessible; Designing and implementing data pipelines, managing databases, ensuring data quality and reliability, and optimizing data storage.

  • DevOps Engineer: Automate repetitive tasks throughout the software development lifecycle, including building, testing, and deployment processes; Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and on-premise systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. 

  • IT: Managing and supporting Guideline’s technology infrastructure; Roles can range across technical, analytics, and project management functions. 

  • Commercial Tech: Customizing and extending the Salesforce platform to meet specific business needs; developing and implementing solutions using code and declarative tools; This could take the form of custom applications, integrations with other systems, and ensuring the Salesforce instance is optimized for performance and usability.

  • Support Engineering: Hands-on writing code, developing apps/features; Emphasis on triaging, fixing, and preventing bugs on Guideline’s platform.

  • QA: Ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications before they are released to users; Identify and report bugs, verify that software meets requirements, and work with developers to resolve issues; Play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, contributing to a smoother user experience and minimizing the risk of post-release problems.

  • Security: Roles focused on protecting Guideline’s computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
