OverviewThe Technical Intern provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study. Performs basic engineering tasks.
Responsibilities- Learns organizational processes and procedures.
- Contributes to assigned projects
- May assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records.
- Assists with record and filing systems, drafting techniques, standards and data resource duties.
- Organizes and stores maps, detailed design drawings, graphs, structural drawings and related engineering records.
- Collects and codes data from sources for input procedures.
- Reviews existing records for necessary revisions and prepares data.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
- Typically requires the incumbent to be pursuing an undergraduate degree in a technical area of study at a college or university.
