Job Title

Energy Rebate Specialist

Job Description Summary

Support client's sustainability goals and drive costs out of the business through pursuit of energy efficiency
rebates. Candidate will verify opportunities, collect supporting documentation, and process associated applications
in order to capture incentives of qualifying projects.
This will require general knowledge of utility billing, efficiency measures, and an ability communicate energy rebate
requirements. You will work closely with Facility/Property Managers, Vendors, and Utilities to qualify rebate
opportunities and then be responsible for driving the rebate application through to completion. This may include
contacting the utility, scheduling pre/post site visits, gathering pertinent information regarding facility and/or
equipment specifications, collecting estimated energy savings related to projects, and finally tracking projects,
associated savings, and checks received.

Job Description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 Identify projects and available rebate opportunities, both prescriptive and custom programs
 Work with Facility/Property Managers or Vendors to collect existing equipment information and validate
equipment/project eligibility
 Serve as the utility’s point-of-contact throughout the application process
 Prepare application including collection of supporting documentation (SOW/Cut Sheets)
 Arrange pre- and post-project inspections
 Receive incentive payment, apply general ledger coding, credit capital project
 Track entire application process in multiple systems (Xcel, TRIRIGA)

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Some experience within Energy sector, Utilities
 Basic understanding of utility rebate and incentive programs
 Ability to communicate effectively
 Ability to prioritize & meet deadlines
 Attention to detail and organization skills
 Ability to manage multiple projects; repetitive
 Heavy phone use, data entry
 Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 68,000.00 - $80,000.00
