How You'll Make an Impact
- Review and reconcile tax returns and payments, maintaining comprehensive logs and addressing issues in the outsourcing arrangement
- Develop and maintain compliance databases, responding to data requests and managing the compilation of statistical reports
- Direct research and maintenance of tax and regulatory fee matrices for all business segments, ensuring up-to-date information
- Support business divisions with guidance on tax and regulatory fee matters, answering questions and resolving complex issues
- Oversee special projects related to tax and regulatory fees, conducting research and preparing memoranda

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience
- 8+ years of tax and accounting experience
- 5+ years of management experience
Skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access and ERP systems such as PeopleSoft and Vertex
- Strong research, analytical and data interpretation abilities
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure
- Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written, across all organizational levels
- Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Advanced proficiency with personal computers and standard software applications
- Expertise in resolving technical tax issues and working independently
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a proven track record managing people and projects
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
- Solid knowledge of accounting theory and strategic thinking to anticipate trends and needs
