Overview
The Director, Supply Chain leads the end to end operations of SnapNrack - from sourcing to planning, procurement, manufacturing and fulfillment of SnapNrack materials from domestic and non-domestic vendors. This role will manage all aspects of strategic, long range decision making (e.g., on vendor mix, planning volumes) and will work cross-functionally with supply, demand, sales and finance teams to optimize and manage the financial performance of SnapNrack material costs and availability.
Responsibilities
Leads procurement and sourcing decisions
Make decisions around what to source, from which vendors and at what cost
Evaluate vendors on quality, capacity and capabilities
Drive contracts with new vendors that protect Sunrun’s interests Plan and procure products
Own demand plans based on inputs from various parts of the business
Place orders, track fulfillment and take actions to address near and long term supply issues
Work with SnapNrack sales teams to validate forecasts and work through product supply disruptions; Constant interaction with sales and assessment of demand requirements.
Reflect or monitor changes in SKU level forecasts.
Identify current and potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise interested parties of status and recovery plans.
Enable new products Collaborate with Product management and engineering to launch new products
Engage on Design-to-cost / DTx efforts in general to improve value proposition of SnapNrack products
Manage the JRZ facility Manage the 3PL at JRZ, including maintaining production plans, material flow and productivity
Work with leadership at JRZ to manage productivity and costs
Manage costs
Own reporting on product costs and run analysis to understand usage trends and cost stack impacts
Communicate inventory position, budget, and financial re-forecast to the COO/CFO and the Finance organization
Conduct financial risk assessments on above
Achieve consensus on operating plans and inventory goals, provide reports and requested information to management as needed.
Develop systems and procedures required to meet service and inventory turn objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Analysis or Business. MBA preferred.
10+ years experience in managing purchasing, strategic sourcing, demand planning, forecasting, integrated supply chain functions, materials handling, inventory control, freight/traffic activities, global logistics or warehousing
Experience as part of an Executive Team charged with developing long term business strategies across business functions.
Experience in managing a distributed workforce.
Demonstrated project management, negotiation, communication, interpersonal and financial analysis skills.
Proficiency with project management tools, demonstrated skills in analyzing and establishing timelines, and reporting progress to plan.
Experience in an integrated ERP environment; implementation experience preferred.
Proven ability in developing and leading high performance teams;
Strong leadership and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to champion organizational initiatives across the entire value delivery system-supply base, internal cross-functional teams, and customers;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Financial Analysis and reporting experience;
Superior internal and external customer focus;
Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks under strict timeline pressures.
