The Role
As Director of Software Engineering, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution. You will oversee the development of our web-based platform and internal tooling, with a focus on scalability, team velocity, and developer experience.
What You’ll Do
- Lead & Mentor: Manage and grow a multi-functional team of full stack engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.
- Architectural Vision: Oversee technical design efforts on enterprise software applications, leveraging SOLID design principles on full-stack development teams using C#/.NET backend, React.js frontend, and SQL Server.
- Cloud Strategy: Drive our AWS infrastructure strategy, leveraging cloud-native services and containerization for high availability and performance.
- Compliance First: Ensure all engineering practices meet rigorous security standards (HIPAA, SOC2, & PCI).
- Strategic Delivery: Partner with Product and Design to define milestones and execute iterate towards long-term product initiatives.
What You Bring
- Experience: 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Technical Depth: Proven track record leading teams building and maintaining SaaS applications. Competency using .NET, ReactJS, RDBMS, Kubernetes and AWS PaaS.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Ability to break down complex and long running projects into reasonable milestones that can be used to show progress to stakeholders and keep the ball moving.
