About the Role:
We’re hiring a Director, People Planning & Programs to serve as a strategic operating partner to our Chief People Officer (CPO) and global People leadership team (PLT). This is a strategic, execution-heavy role responsible for ensuring our People function has a strong operating rhythm to scale in a fast-growing, remote-first company.Unlike a traditional HR role, this position will act as the program architect and operator for high-impact people initiatives for the CPO. You’ll be a force multiplier for our People leadership team, a key cross functional stakeholder to ensure structure, speed, and flawless execution in a fast-paced, global (US + India) environment. This is a Director-level individual contributor role with high visibility across the organization.
What You'll Do:
People Program Project Management Office (PMO)
- Establish and lead a Program Management Office (PMO) for the CPO to drive accountability for critical people initiatives.
- Develop and maintain templates, planning tools, milestone tracking, and reporting cadences.
- Act as a central coordination point, ensuring accountability, momentum, and consistent cross-functional progress across the people team.
Planning & Budget Operations
- Partner with PLT and finance to manage people team budgets and forecasts
- Translate strategy into actionable operating plans that align with people team strategy and goals
- Track and report on key people operating metrics to inform decision-making and strategy refinement
Strategic Projects & Team Operating Rhythm
- Incubate and drive strategic people programs from concept to execution, owning timelines, stakeholder engagement, and delivery.
- Design and lead the People team’s annual and quarterly planning, goal setting, and operating cadences.
- Build executive-ready materials (dashboards, decks, narratives) on people team operating metrics and progress
- Ensure the people team operates with focus, discipline, and transparency through scalable rituals and accountability frameworks.
Internal Communication & Change Management
- Build and run a comms engine for the People org—ensuring clarity, consistency, and engagement across global teams.
- Partner with PLT and external stakeholders to drive change management and adoption of new programs and tools.
- Ensure US and India teams stay aligned and informed on priorities and progress.
What You’ll Bring :
- Have 12+ years in People Strategy, HR Program Management or Chief of Staff roles
- Thrive in remote-first, global companies and know how to navigate asynchronous teams, especially across the U.S. and India.
- Have exceptional program management and operating rhythm instincts, with a track record of building scalable systems.
- Are a strong storyteller and communicator who brings teams along with clarity and purpose.
- Love solving complex problems, bringing order to ambiguity, and creating structure where none exists.
- Can confidently work with executive stakeholders while getting deep into the details when needed.
- Have strong analytical chops—you use data to tell stories, shape strategy, and drive accountability.
- Prior experience working in or preparing for US public company environments (or IPO transition).
- Highly structured, execution-driven, with a bias for action and detail.
- Are AI-curious and eager to explore emerging technologies to improve the way we work, collaborate, and deliver impact.
- Experience in consulting is a plus
