  • Manage the PR agency relationship and earned media strategy directly, drafting and approving press releases and message platforms for senior leadership, in coordination with Investor Relations on public company disclosure considerations
  • Ensure brand, PR, social, and advocacy content meets healthcare marketing compliance standards, partnering with Legal and Compliance
  • Lead a team of individual contributors, setting priorities and connecting their work into one coherent market presence
  • Set advocacy strategy, KOL relationships and customer reference programs, while Content and Thought Leadership Lead owns day-to-day execution
  • Set the brand authority direction that the Content and Thought Leadership Lead translates into content strategy, editorial calendar, and thought-leadership execution
  • Partner with executive leadership to build and protect their public visibility and voice in the market
  • Set social media strategy and brand voice, guiding execution across the team
  • Own the website’s brand and content strategy, working jointly with Marketing Operations and DTS on the website overhaul
  • Own the budget for Market Presence and Influence, including the PR agency retainer and outsourced creative/design spend, forecasting and managing to plan

Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing, communications, or PR experience, with direct experience managing a PR agency relationship and earned media strategy; 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience operating in a highly regulated industry (healthcare, life sciences, pharma, or similar), with working knowledge of legal/compliance review processes for public-facing content

  • Direct experience managing press releases, media relations, and message platforms for senior leadership, including public company disclosure considerations in partnership with Investor Relations
  • Track record of leading and developing a team, setting priorities across genuinely different functions (creative, events, content) and connecting them into one cohesive strategy
  • Comfortable operating as an executive-facing partner, coaching and protecting senior leaders’ public voice and visibility
  • Budget ownership experience, including agency/vendor spend management and forecasting
