Job Description

SOCOTEC US is transforming how Human Resources supports the business.

Following significant growth through acquisition, the company is bringing together multiple operating entities into one integrated organization of approximately 1,700 employees. As part of this transformation, SOCOTEC US has introduced a new HR operating model built around Regional HR Business Partners and enterprise Centers of Excellence.

The Director of HR Operations & Total Rewards will lead one of these newly created Centers of Excellence and play a critical role in building the infrastructure that will support the company’s next stage of growth.

This is a rare opportunity to create - not simply manage - a modern Total Rewards and HR Operations function. The successful candidate will design enterprise-wide programs, establish scalable processes, strengthen HR technology and analytics, and help create a consistent employee experience across the organization.

Success in this role requires someone who enjoys building from the ground up, thrives in evolving environments, and translate strategy into practical execution.

Key Responsibilities

Build Scalable HR Operations

  • Lead the evolution of HR Operations into a centralized, efficient, service-oriented function.
  • Drive the consolidation of HR systems onto a unified ADP platform and establish governance for HR data, processes, and reporting.
  • Partner with Regional HR Business Partners to standardize HR policies and workflows and drive consistent operational practices across all business units.
  • Ensure operational excellence, compliance, data integrity, and continuous process improvement.

Manage the Total Rewards Strategy

  • Design and implement a consistent compensation philosophy, job architecture, and job leveling framework across the enterprise.
  • Develop competitive salary structures and benchmarking methodologies aligned with business and talent objectives.
  • Partner with leadership on incentive compensation, executive rewards, and future long-term incentive frameworks.
  • Lead the evolution and harmonization of employee benefits while balancing competitiveness, cost effectiveness, and business integration priorities.

Build HR Data & Decision Support

  • Develop enterprise HR dashboards, metrics, and reporting capabilities that provide leaders with meaningful workforce insights.
  • Establish common data definitions and governance to enable consistent reporting across acquired businesses.
  • Leverage analytics to support workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and business decision-making.

What Success Looks Like
Within the first 12 months, the Director will have:

  • Established a unified compensation architecture and job framework across the organization.
  • Advanced the consolidation of HR systems onto a single enterprise platform.
  • Consolidated benefits administration under one broker
  • Launched a Total Rewards roadmap supporting business integration and growth.
  • Implemented standardized HR metrics and reporting capabilities that improve business decision-making.
  • Built strong partnerships across the organization, particularly with the HR Business Partners
  • Built the foundation of a scalable HR Operations & Total Rewards Center of Excellence capable of supporting future acquisitions and continued growth.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, HR Operations, or related HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Demonstrated success building or transforming HR infrastructure in high-growth, multi-business, or acquisition-driven organizations.
  • Deep expertise in compensation strategy, job architecture, market benchmarking, and incentive design.
  • Experience leading HR technology implementations or enterprise HRIS transformations; ADP experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and project management capabilities.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, establishing priorities, and building sustainable processes where none previously existed.
  • Experience within engineering, construction, professional services, consulting, or similarly decentralized organizations is highly desirable.
