Finance Director, Global Digital FP&A

This position is remote and reports to the VP, CFO Digital Solutions.

The FP&A Director is responsible for leading the financial management processes for Iron Mountain’s Global Digital Business Unit for revenue, EBITDA and capex, as a key leader in the Digital Finance team.  The role will directly support the EVP Digital Solutions, SVP of Digital Operations, SVP of Global Product, Technology & Engineering and their leadership teams as a trusted Finance partner, while also coordinating with regional finance teams to drive global processes, standardization, reporting and analytics.
As a key Finance leader and a business partner, this leader will help drive efficiency improvements throughout the organization through various activities including financial and operational KPIs, performance management, modeling, forecasting, and reporting tailored to enable decision-making by senior management.  Strong collaboration, relationship building and communication skills are required to build a diverse network and work across various teams and levels.
Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead global reporting cadence and content generation; engage with regional finance and business resources to drive clear monthly understanding of financial results - in particular the segmentation of revenue, margin and volume performance versus expectations

  • Drive content generation for monthly reporting, with a focus on continuous improvement around global standardization and depth of analysis; lead teams in preparation of monthly financial reporting pack for the global digital businesses, analyzing and steering input from the regional teams - this will facilitate leadership decision making and capital allocation

  • Improve and lead the Capital Investment review and allocation processes for the Digital business, in collaboration with Operations and Product leadership

  • Manage quarterly forecast process, driving risks & opportunity management for the Digital businesses across the globe

  • Lead Digital budget process, from a Finance perspective, and engage with the GRO FP&A team as a part of the annual Multi Year Plan process to drive visibility to long term strategy & plan 

  • Proactively drive continuous improvement on identification, definition and measurement of financial and operational KPIs 

  • Lead creation of simplified, self-service financial dashboards for transparency and increased visibility for digital leaders and teams

  • Connect non-financial leading indicators to pace expected financial results and direct functions to manage costs accordingly 

  • Ownership of labor cost management, operational labor metrics and forecasting to inform operational planning and decision making 

  • Creates executive level presentations and communications that distill complex operational financial topics and analysis into easily digestible explanations, focused on the most material and highest priority items

  • Develop, grow and coach a dynamic team of FP&A professionals

  • Develop and maintain a broad network throughout the global finance and business teams

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA a plus

  • 12+ years of progressive financial experience focused on providing budget, forecast and business analysis support within a large, global corporation; ideally gained thorough performing a mix of Corporate, Accounting, Business Unit and Operational Finance roles and working in a matrixed environment

  • Ability to build partnerships, influence decisions and coordinate across multiple business units through strong communication skills

  • Ability to create and define processes to improve operating efficiency and consistency across a dynamic organization

  • Ability to manage and lead cross functional projects to define, create and enhance processes

  • Ability to anticipate barriers/opportunities and think out of the box to enable solutions

  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle enterprise management applications or equivalent, presentation building and reporting

  • Key capabilities and competencies include: cross-functional collaboration, leadership, people development, attention to detail, initiative, communication, analytical skills, relationship management, consultation, critical evaluation, leadership and navigation, and ethical practice

  • Strong analytical and financial skills needed to synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers, and distill them into insightful analysis for senior leadership

  • Ability to build partnerships, influence decisions, work in a collaborative style and become a sought-out financial business partner

  • Passion for driving and delivering results to provide valuable performance analysis and reporting on a timely basis to help facilitate decision making

  • Creative thinker who promotes communication, fosters teamwork across the organization, and achieves consensus; excellent interpersonal skills

Reasonably expected salary range: $159,400.00 - $212,500.00
