Leads a new data science team developing AI and agentic-system evaluations for insurance pricing applications. Sets strategy, defines evaluation metrics and experiments, measures AI value and risk, partners with technical and pricing teams to deploy high-value solutions, and assesses third-party AI vendors. Requires strong people leadership, insurance pricing-model expertise, statistical and experimental-design skills, and hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and AI application development.
Description
AI has the potential to transform how insurers bring new products to market. Help us make sure it does. US Data Science (USDS) is seeking a Director level data science leader to build and lead a new team that will use advanced AI to bring our pricing programs to market faster. The team will build state-of-the-art evaluations for AI and agentic systems. Those evaluations tell us how much value the AI delivers, how accurate it is, and what the risk is when it gets something wrong, so we can move high-value applications into production with confidence. This is a new, highly visible team, and its work will shape how AI is used in USRM's core pricing work. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with deep, hands-on experience building and deploying insurance pricing models, and hands-on experience putting modern AI and LLMs to work.
