Digital Workplace Engineer
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm EST
Remote- United States
Summary:
The Digital Workplace Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing all core components of CSC's desktop environment and services, including, Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager (SCCM), Azure Active Directory (AD), Microsoft 365 and related technologies. This role involves configuring, deploying, and supporting Microsoft's cloud and desktop environments, ensuring security compliance, and collaborating with IT teams to resolve technical issues. The engineer will be essential in ensuring the seamless operation of both on-premises and cloud-based technologies and may be responsible for restoring services outside of normal business hours. Individuals in this job are required to answer such calls.
Essential Duties:

  • Microsoft Systems & Services Management:
    Manage, maintain, and monitor core Microsoft systems and services, including Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, and Azure AD environments.
  • Intune Management:
    Configure and manage Intune for device management, application management, and security policies. Monitor deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. Manage mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) solutions.
  • Azure AD Administration:
    Administer Azure Active Directory (AD) services, including user and group management, role-based access control, and integration with on-premises AD. Implement and manage Azure AD Conditional Access policies. Ensure secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using Azure AD.
  • Security & Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. Implement and manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain a secure environment.
  • Desktop & Operating Systems Support:
    Responsible for managing Windows desktop operating systems and supporting technologies. Utilize Intune for patching and hotfixes deployment. Provide support for software deployments and scripting within the desktop environment.
  • Documentation & Processes:
    Maintain detailed documentation of all desktop infrastructure components, configurations, and processes. Continuously review and revise policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
    Provide technical support for Intune, Azure AD, and desktop-related issues. Troubleshoot complex problems and collaborate with IT teams to resolve issues quickly. Answer on-call support outside normal business hours when necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft technologies, including new features in Intune, Azure AD, and other related tools. Propose and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and security of the digital workplace environment.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing:
    Conduct training sessions for internal IT teams on new features and best practices related to Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, SCCM, and other relevant technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and desktop environments.
  • Hands-on experience managing and optimizing Microsoft 365 and Intune environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory administration, including synchronization with on-premises AD.
  • Expertise in managing Intune for software deployment and patch management.
  • Deep understanding of group policies, security policies, and best practices.
  • Experience in mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) solutions.
  • Familiarity with security policies and tools, such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with internal teams and management.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote work environment.
