Job Description

As a Digital Product Manager – FinOps, you will lead the transformation of FinOps from a finance-led reporting discipline into an engineering-integrated product capability that drives real-time cost accountability, business value, and AI governance across Allstate Technology Services (ATS).
You will act as the product owner for FinOps capabilities, enabling Digital Product Teams (DPTs) to understand, influence, and optimize the cost of technology decisions before spend occurs. This role sits at the intersection of Product Management, Engineering, Cloud Platform, Finance, and Data Analytics.
You will be responsible for defining and delivering FinOps products, capabilities, and experiences across DPTs.

You will be responsible for making FinOps consumable for engineers and product teams by building capabilities that support workload cost attribution, optimization recommendations, forecasting, AI/tokenomics governance, and product-level business outcome linkage.
The ideal candidate is a product leader who combines strong outcome-based delivery, systems thinking, stakeholder influence, and technical curiosity with a passion for financial accountability and engineering enablement.

FinOps-Specific Skills
  • Product management experience delivering technology, platform, cloud, or financial management capabilities in Agile environments.
  • Strong knowledge of FinOps principles including cloud cost allocation, showback/chargeback models, forecasting, budgeting, and cost optimization.
  • Experience defining and measuring technology unit economics, including cost per transaction, workload, customer interaction, or business outcome.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud cost management tools, billing models, and resource utilization best practices.
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams to embed financial insights into development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to translate complex financial and technical data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with data integration, data modeling, analytics platforms, reporting tools, and data governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of observability, telemetry, CMDB, product metadata, cloud usage, and financial datasets used to drive FinOps insights.
  • Knowledge of AI cost governance concepts including token consumption, model economics, inference costs, prompt optimization, and AI capacity planning.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Finance, Cloud Operations, and Data Analytics teams.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills with experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with a passion for engineering enablement, financial accountability, and outcome-based product delivery.
Experience

• 7 or more years of experience (Preferred)
