As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank in Markets technology Securitized products, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
The Electronic Trading Group is a dynamic and expanding technology team focused on delivering timely testing solutions to meet the growing demands of our business. We are seeking a DevOps / Integration Specialist to join our Global Equities Electronic Trading team. This role is pivotal in setting up and maintaining a continuous integration environment and providing robust testing solutions for our electronic trading applications including Smart Order Router, Market Access, DMA/Sponsored DMA, Risk Controls and Internal Matching Engine.
Job Responsibilities
  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Develops and implement a framework for continuous integration environments, driving its adoption and evolution.
  • Performs Automate testing processes and any manual workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure the successful completion of project testing activities and tasks, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Manage release processes, provide environment support, and offer production support as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members across different regions, contributing to a cohesive global team effort.
  • Perform Exchange and Client Onboarding - conduct client, venue certification, and connectivity for various exchanges, markets, and dark pools.
  • Work with Business and End users to review business requirements and translate to tech specifications.
  • Perform Automated/Manual testing and Validation of individual application and end to end Integration.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - Proven experience in DevOps and integration activities.
  • Expertise in developing functional test automation scripts.
  • Familiarity with the full systems development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in UNIX Bash scripting, Python, and Java programming languages for Automation, Monitoring and Surveillance
  • Experience in system testing, implementation, production support, and release management.
  • Proficient of FIX Protocol
  • Proficient in Linux OS - Navigate, Troubleshoot and basic understanding of the Filesystem, Network Architecture, and tools.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with electronic trading technology.
  • Knowledge of Equities Trading Stack - Order Management Systems, ALGO, Smart Order Routers, Dark Pools, Equities exchange protocols
  • Knowledge of kdb/q is a plus
