ABOUT CLIENT
We are currently in the discovery phase of a large-scale modernization initiative. The project aims to transform an existing monolithic enterprise system into a modern, scalable, cloud-based architecture within the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Azure environment.
The core objective is modernization: migrating and rebuilding a complex legacy system into a secure, high-performance, and future-ready cloud solution.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years as a DevOps engineer
- Strong knowledge and experience with Azure services
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or Jenkins CI/CD tools for building, testing, and deploying software applications
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for Azure infrastructure and application-related issues
- Direct experience with the United States Department of Energy (DOE) preferred (strong federal experience without DOE may also be considered)
- This role requires eligibility to work on U.S. federal government projects (U.S. citizenship required per contract terms)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Advanced level of English
- Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week (Monday–Friday)

- Design and build infrastructure within the DOE Azure environment
- Contribute to modernization of a legacy monolithic system
- Help define the future DevOps and cloud architecture standards
- Collaborate closely with a full ELEKS engineering team and client stakeholders
