Fully own the demand planning and forecasting for the part types / categories assigned to you in our automotive electronics focused business including additional focus on special order demand, campaigns and new program launches.

  • Collaborate and partner with internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Operations, Production, Finance & IT/Business Technology to understand requirements and develop material planning strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain appropriate stocking (DIOH/WIOH) levels for production components to meet forecasts and demands by planning and overseeing inventory management processes, including the implementation of safety stock strategies.
  • Utilize our database of approved vendors for current products and work collaboratively with the team to ensure timely material flow.
  • Establish regular system-queries to monitor inventory levels in feeder warehouse(s) and our customer-facing fulfillment warehouse.  Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Production to maintain accurate work orders to support weekly order fulfillment.
  • Utilize our highly tailored ERP tools to define weekly inventory gaps in finished goods fulfillment warehouse. Using automated tools, use sound decision making and off-line planning tools to agree/disagree with system-driven production work orders.
  • From start to finish, manage, set priority, and guide work orders to completion and ingestion into finished goods fulfillment warehouse.
  • Communicate effectively with Purchasing and Operations Team on demand changes for quick response and follow through as well as impact on stocking levels for Operations Team.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing/ Sourcing Team on supplier performance.
  • Clear understanding and importance of Excess & Obsolescence policy (“E&O”) implications in your work.
  • Support/back-up for Buyers

Requirements & Characteristics Desired

  • Proven track record of successful inventory or materials planning in a high SKU-count environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially as an Excel power user)
  • Experience with supply chain software tools like MRP, PSI are highly desirable.
  • Experience with SYSPRO ERP is highly desirable.
  • Experience and familiarity supporting national retail customers is desirable.
  • Intellectually sharp and highly motivated, with a relentless drive for success.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent working experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on electronic components preferred.
