We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to accurately enter, update, maintain, and manage company information and records. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for processing information from various sources, maintaining accurate databases and files, verifying data, and supporting administrative and operational activities.

The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong computer skills, good organizational abilities, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and update information accurately into databases, spreadsheets, computer systems, and company records.
  • Review documents and source information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify data and identify missing, duplicate, or incorrect information.
  • Correct errors and maintain accurate records.
  • Process invoices, orders, customer information, forms, reports, and other business documents as assigned.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files.
  • Retrieve and provide information when requested by authorized employees or departments.
  • Perform regular data audits and quality-control checks.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and customer information.
  • Scan, upload, label, and organize documents electronically.
  • Convert information from paper documents or other sources into digital formats.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as filing, copying, sorting, and preparing reports.
  • Communicate with other departments to clarify or verify information.
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and processing deadlines.
  • Follow company procedures for data entry, recordkeeping, privacy, and document management.
  • Report discrepancies, technical problems, or missing information to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Perform other administrative and data-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous data entry, administrative, clerical, office, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read, understand, and enter information correctly.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Comfortable learning new software and computer systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of data entry or administrative experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Sheets, or similar software.
  • Experience using databases, CRM systems, ERP systems, or document-management software.
  • Familiarity with basic office procedures and recordkeeping.
  • Fast and accurate typing/keyboarding skills.
  • Experience working with large amounts of information or repetitive data-entry tasks.
