As a Data Engineer, you’ll help expand, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure that power our IoT-enabled safety ecosystem. You’ll work with large, real-time and batch datasets from devices across the globe — ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and delivering accurate, timely data to the teams who need it.

- You have opinions on data modeling, enjoy the challenge of working with event-driven architectures, and are comfortable switching between SQL, Python, Java, Scala and a variety of AWS services.
Key Responsibilities?
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch and real-time) using modern cloud tools
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver data-driven features and services
- Support our existing ETL/ELT processes, data lake and data warehouse environments
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability through robust monitoring and alerting
- Participate in architectural discussions and help evolve our data platform strategy
Qualifications/Education
- Degree in Computing Science, Data Engineering, IT, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role
- Experience with AWS data tools: Redshift, EMR, S3, Lambda, Kinesis
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as AWS Glue Studio or Matillion ETL
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, Scala
- Familiarity with best practices related to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD in multi-environment deployment workflows
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, PagerDuty)
Nice to Have
- Experience with additional big data technologies: BigQuery, Snowflake, Fabric, Hive, Hadoop, Flink, Spark
- Experience with event-driven architecture and related systems (e.g., Kafka)
- Familiarity with BI/analytics tools like Power BI, QuickSight and SSRS
- Interest or experience in AI/ML tools on AWS (e.g., Bedrock, SageMaker, Amazon Q)
