Job Summary
The Data Analyst will work with business subject matter experts to analyze, validate, and utilize data for consumption by business stakeholders and research and understand customer processes and business data needs. This role will also help determine the required data and transformation needs for building out data pipelines to support our data platform.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with business subject matter experts to analyze, validate, and utilize data for consumption by business stakeholders
- Research and understand customer processes and business data needs
- Help determine the required data and transformation needs for each data consumers’ needs
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques
- Use strong SQL skills to provide data extracts as needed to address project and business need
- Collaborate with business and development teams to document analytics dashboards, alerts, and reports
- Support data management initiatives and data stewards by having thorough knowledge of their data domain
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in General Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, Analytics or Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0-3 years of Data Analysis/Mapping experience
- Proficient in requirements gathering methodologies and the SDLC
- Experience with data mapping, requirements and business process analysis to ensure IT solutions meet the business's needs
- Experience with SQL and ETL mapping tools
- Understanding of APIs
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, JIRA, , Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Data Management Cloud, Snowflake
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field, (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, or related technical discipline), or equivalent combination of training and work experience
- Insurance industry experience & knowledge of Annuity/Life products
