Position Summary


The Data Analyst will play a key role in translating data into actionable insights that drive smarter decision-making and operational efficiency. In this role, you will develop, manage, and maintain reports, dashboards and analytics tools to monitor key metrics, evaluate program outcomes and support continuous improvement for government services. Working directly with government clients and cross-functional team members across product management, engineering, design, and project management, you will leverage your knowledge of data analytics to create data-driven solutions that enhance service delivery and support programs benefitting millions of Americans. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging directly with clients both in a consulting capacity and through the direct delivery of data-driven insights and solutions. What You'll do:

  • Develop, maintain and optimize dashboards, reports and data visualizations to track key metrics and performance indicators for government programs
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to understand data and reporting needs and deliver data-driven insights that improve operations and enhance service delivery
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across reports and dashboards
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities for program and process improvements
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to proactive surface reporting and data needs, ensuring analytics are considered early and throughout the project lifecycle
  • Clearly communicate findings and recommendations through presentations, documentation and visualizations tailored to stakeholder audiences
  • Provide support through documentation, office hours and training to help clients and stakeholders effectively use and interpret reporting solutions
  • Contribute to building Nava’s data analytics capability by supporting an internal community of practice

Required Skills:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis or business intelligence, with a proven track record of designing and maintaining reports, dashboards and visualizations 
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI development 
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases 
  • Experience tailoring reports and visualizations to meet specific business and stakeholder needs
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to inform business and program decisions Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely  
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to build effective stakeholder and client relationships
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments

Other requirements

All roles at Nava require the following:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Must meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired.

Work authorization that doesn’t require visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract.
