This role will lead analytics for Vanguard’s Open an Account (OA) digital onboarding journey - a highly visible digital experience focused on improving client acquisition, onboarding conversion, customer experience, and operational efficiency. 

The individual will partner closely with Product, UX, Technology, and Operations teams to drive strategic decision-making through experimentation, funnel analytics, customer behavior insights, and measurement frameworks. 

This role requires strong analytical rigor, product thinking, stakeholder influence, and the ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Works with internal partners to understand business needs, structures requests into analytical projects, and leads complex analytical initiatives to completion. 

  • Analyze digital customer journeys and onboarding funnels to identify friction points, drop-offs, conversion opportunities, and experience improvements. 

  • Designs, measures, and interprets A/B tests and other experimentation methodologies to evaluate product enhancements and business impact. 

  • Partners with Product Managers, UX, and Technology teams to define success metrics, influences roadmap prioritization, and supports data-driven decision making. 

  • Translates complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations and executive-level storytelling. 

  • Works with digital, behavioral, and clickstream data to understand customer interactions across onboarding journeys and digital experiences. 

  • Mentors junior analysts and provides guidance to onshore/offshore analytical resources supporting the onboarding journeys. 

  • Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness. 

  • Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. Validates analytical techniques employed by other analysts. 

  • Champions the use of data storytelling to influence strategic decisions and drive business outcomes. 

 
 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of five years’ work experience in BI, analytics, data science, data strategy or related domains 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or related field. Graduate degree preferred. 

  • Strong SQL and Python skills with experience analyzing large-scale structured and behavioral datasets. 

  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and statistical analysis. 

  • Experience in product analytics, digital analytics, customer journey analytics, or experimentation-driven environments preferred. 

  • Experience with digital analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, GA4, or similar tools preferred. 

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners. 

  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar BI tools preferred. 

  • Financial services, fintech, e-commerce, or consumer digital product experience preferred.
