In this role, you will:
- Set up new loan insurance records within the servicing system
- Collect insurance certificates and policies, invoices, paid receipts, and W-9 tax forms
- Review insurance certificates and policies for compliance with lender guidelines
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of commercial loans to ensure processes and procedures are followed
- Correspond with offshore teams, borrowers, and insurance agents to audit compliance of insurance certificates and policies for new and existing loans
- Collaborate virtually with third-party vendors and offshore teams to resolve insurance exceptions, quality assure specific criteria, and report metric results and feedback on a weekly and monthly basis
- Collaborate with management to formulate work procedures, policies, and methods that ensure compliance with Wells Fargo, legal, investor, regulatory, and business policies affecting the work unit and other departments
- Assist management with analyzing reports to optimize workflow coordination and production across domestic staff, vendors, and offshore operations
- Handle special projects that primarily impact the functional area or specific department
- Escalate issues, evaluate and process borrower servicing requests in partnership with asset managers, internal and external counsel, and business partners, while ensuring quality service for internal and external customers
- Understand compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
- Participate in company initiatives and processes that support risk and capital objectives and other strategic goals
- Provide guidance to less experienced specialists
- 2+ years of Corporate Insurable Risk Management, Risk Management Consulting, Property or Casualty Insurance, or Insurance Brokerage experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Proficient Experience in Commercial real estate, mortgage banking, or mortgage loan servicing
- Familiarity with commercial real estate loan documents, including pooling and servicing agreements
- Ability to research, compile, and analyze insurance data
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Ability to provide excellent customer service, develop customer relationships, and support issue resolution
- Ability to independently provide summaries and make strategic recommendations
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
