About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Manager within the Core Banking Modernization (CBM) team, part of Consumer Banking and Lending (CBL). This strategic and highly visible role will serve as the Separation Lead, responsible for guiding the divestment and retirement of heritage platforms and capabilities. The position plays a critical part in managing non-customer data divestments and ensuring disciplined execution within the Product Delivery Office (PDO).
The Lead Product Manager will drive the design and delivery of separation solutions that align with Wells Fargo's modernization objectives while ensuring operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership, deep product management expertise, and the ability to navigate complex technical and business landscapes. Success in this position includes advancing enterprise transformation goals and supporting coordinated outcomes across multiple product areas.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the development and execution of the separation workstream, providing strategic and hands-on support to three product areas as they approach key divestment milestones.
- Serve as a key contributor in large-scale planning activities, ensuring alignment with program objectives, modernization priorities, and enterprise-wide transformation goals.
- Evaluate complex product roadmaps, program plans, and epics to thoughtfully plan, sequence, and prepare for the retirement of legacy capabilities.
- Define, measure, and report on the business value associated with capability divestments, enabling informed decision-making and transparent program governance.
- Make informed decisions on separation frameworks, standards, and implementation approaches, leveraging deep knowledge of data flows, stakeholder impacts, and CBM priorities.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, partners, and mid- to senior-level leaders to resolve issues, manage dependencies, and drive program outcomes.
- Apply a process-improvement mindset to design, refine, and continuously enhance the divestment support framework to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Serve as a central resource across three enterprise transformation efforts, ensuring coordinated retirement of capabilities and accurate reporting of value realization.
- 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Expertise executing against the product development lifecycle
- Proven ability to create clear, compelling presentations and executive-level reporting
- Experience designing processes and target operating models
- Experience in technology program management
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience contributing to or leading large-scale transformation initiatives
- Previous experience within the financial services industry, leveraging domain knowledge to build compliant, user-centric digital products and drive innovative solutions in a regulated environment
