The Copywriter is responsible for creative conception and execution of copy in the production of creative solutions in all tactics, with an emphasis on print, digital, direct mail, email, and other forms of promotion. Copywriter works closely with Growth Strategy Managers, business owners, designers, and Creative Director to ensure that materials are clear, engaging and support engagement and growth goals. This role, and the ideal candidate have a passion for writing and possess experience in the Health Payer or Healthcare Insurance space.

SKILLS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with stakeholders to develop concepts, campaigns, sales materials and engaging content for print, digital, direct mail, and other forms of promotion for our product offerings.

  • Interprets input and/or creative briefs to understand project requirements, in an agile environment.

  • Writes materials that help to build awareness of product benefits and stimulate sales, presenting copy concepts to creative colleagues, Growth Strategy Managers, and business partners when necessary.

  • Has copy oversight of creative product from inception through completion to ensure elevated level of quality and maintenance of concept/messaging through approval of design.

  • Stays up to date on products/services/brand voice to ensure ability to write accurate, on-target concepts/messaging for assigned projects.

  • Works to ensure concepts/messaging serve the purpose of selling the organizations product/service/brand voice first and foremost, according to the strategic creative plan.

  • Adepts at varying messaging of materials produced to align with Brand and/or specific target audience.

  • Assists in editing, proofreading, writing proposals, marketing plans, publicity, etc., as requested.

  • Maintains current computer software skills compatible with the needs of other creative team members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, English, journalism or related field, additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal education.

  • 3-4+ years of creative copywriting in marketing with solid portfolio.

  • Health Payer or Healthcare Insurance copywriting experience required, with knowledge of writing direct response marketing that will engage members and prospects.

  • Experience in writing creative solutions in all tactics, with an emphasis on print, digital, direct mail, and other forms of promotion.

  • Excellent writing, editing, organizational, multitasking, and proofreading skills.

  • Ability to work independently or collaborate with creative team colleagues.

  • Familiarity in writing for print, digital and direct mail through a direct response lens, ensuring creative materials have an intent.

  • Elevated level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, strong curiosity and adoption of emerging technologies and tools, including Generative AI.

  • Can collaborate with creative team colleagues and work within a project management tool.

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

The annual base salary range for this position is $65,985 - $93,015 USD.
