Primary Purpose:
This role is responsible for accurately validating, analyzing, and auditing accounting/operational transactions and activity. The position is responsible for providing direction and assistance to associates and management in all daily activities in accordance with established company guidelines. Accurately validating, analyzing and auditing accounting/operational transactions and activity in business areas. This position is responsible for the Lease Administration and financial reporting for over 500 locations and $40-50M in expense each period ($500 million+ annually).
Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. This position can be based in one of our offices located in Quincy, MA., Scarborough, ME., Carlisle, PA., and Salisbury, NC.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Organize, audit, and monitor work product.
  • Establish schedules and methods for various accounting services and financial systems.
  • Oversee assigned portfolio for various billing inquiries and invoices
  • Perform audit of CAM, and tax reconciliations provided by landlords to ensure appropriate expenses are recorded and paid in accordance with legal documents.
  • Maintain comprehensive notes and data regarding billings including negotiations with landlords, requests from Leasing & Asset Mgmt., legal department, default notices, audit compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Research and resolve inquiries from landlords and brand real estate related to rent, CAM, and tax and other billings.
  • Calculate and pay percentage rent payments for each location as required.
  • Ensure Lease administration system is appropriately updated for escrow changes.
  • Assist in calculation of pro rata payments for M&A activities.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, lease administration or related field or 2-3 years of high-volume Accounts Payable or Accounting experience in a fast-paced shared services dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting theories, methodologies, principles and practices, and the impact of departmental transactions to the financial statements
  • Experience with account analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience with or ability to use query tools for reporting
  • Accurate and detail-oriented with excellent follow through skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills; able to confidently and effectively communicate with both internal and external business partners
  • Ability to prioritize and balance large workload to meet deadlines
  • Vendor relations experience
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Ability to sustain high level of confidentiality
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Solid organizational skills, ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point, experience with complex spreadsheets, including lookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • SAP S4/Hanna experience

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $26.54 - $39.81
IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $30.54 - $45.81
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
